Usually 1-2 but can be more. We haul regionally and semi-local so deliveries can vary from one day to the next.
Drivers average about 2,800 miles/week and can expect to make about $1,600 a week based on .60 per mile
Yes with 10 or 13 speed manual transmission trucks. We have mostly OTR type sleeper trucks, Pete’s and Freightliners.
Company paid health premium for employee with prescription card, 401K with 3% company match (5yr vesting/20% each year), offer dental and vision, offer supplemental insurance, paid holiday, paid vacation, bereavement pay, sick day pay, detention pay, sleeper berth pay, TWIC card reimbursement, paid med card, safety incentive pay, company paid uniforms, and more.
Health kicks in after 60 days, all others are immediate upon hire or after 90 days.
Mostly 60 cents per mile for all routed miles loaded and empty. Some loads or work pays hourly ($20 minimum/hr).
New Year’s, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas – we are discussing adding a floating holiday as well. Plus the driver receives the holiday pay plus the load pay if they work on the holiday.
We keep hauling during inclement weather as long as it’s safe to do so.
When in route empty and with management approval each time. It has more to do with security and safety due to what we haul.
Yes, drivers will need both hazmat and tanker endorsements to be considered for an interview. We only haul tankers and very little of that is non-haz product.
No, they do not need to have it to get hired but it will be required afterwards. JMS will help them get it if needed and we reimburse the full amount for it.
You would mainly be running from Memphis to Little Rock to El Dorado to Memphis and back to Little Rock. There are some variances but they are rare.
